Introduction of High Oleic Palm Oil - HOPO

High oleic palm oil is a natural hybrid (non-GMO) of the standard African palm and a native Latin American palm. Hopo has a higher oleic acid content than conventional palm oil, which means it is a good choice for various liquid vegetable oil applications. Similar to standard palm oil, HOPO is available in both RBD and fractionated (olein).
SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE
HOPO's unique properties ensure that it delivers
outstanding results:
Higher oxidative stability means that it
is more suitable for deep-frying,
and is more shelf-stable than other standard
oils.
High smoke point - resistant to
prolonged exposure to heat (longer frying time).
Lower fat content than other common frying
oils (more economical and healthier).
HOPO's high stability and neutral
properties provide improved flavor.
Lower saturated fat content than conventional
palm oil or coconut oil.
Has a very balanced fatty acid profile.
It contains more than
- 50 % oleic acid
- 33 % SFA
- only 12 % PUFA
Long shelf life of ingredients supports a safe pipeline for your production planning.
Can be easily blended with other vegetable oils

performance at competitive prices.

COMPETITIVE PRICE
- Palm oil generally offers cost savings compared to other vegetable oils.
- Because HOPO has a long frying life and contains less fat, it is better value for money than other frying oils.
HEALTH BENEFITS
- HOPO contains less PUFAs (polyunsaturated fatty acids)
than other vegetable oils. - Free from allergens (no peanuts, soy or coconut).
- All natural (clean ingredients) - as HOPO
is naturally stable at high temperatures. - Naturally non-GMO, free from trans fats and non-hydrogenated
CONTINUITY OF SUPPLY
- Like the African palm, HOPO is a tropical plant that
is harvested all year round. - Seed oils such as soy, rapeseed and sunflower are more susceptible,
to crop failure or poor seasonal harvests,
which puts a strain on supply.
SUSTAINABILITY
- HOPO is significantly more productive than seed oils.
HOPO farms allow the land to
for 30+ years. - More biodiversity per hectare than seed oils.
Daabon is a global leader in sustainability, based on
the Round Table of Sustainable Palmoil (RSPO)
standard. - Daabon's focus on reduced carbon emissions supports
footprint for your end product.
